Enhancing Digital Literacies for Language Teaching and Learning is a project funded by Ireland’s National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning.  The project aims to develop a national framework of digital literacies for language learning and teaching in higher education. The languages emphasis for the project extends to French, Italian, German, Spanish, Irish and English for speakers of other languages.

The cross-institutional project team comprises language lecturers from across a range of geographically diverse locations, representing six HE institutions (University of Limerick, National University of Ireland, Galway, Dublin City University, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, Dublin Institute of Technology, and Limerick Institute of Technology).

Through the development of a framework of digital literacies across Irish HEIs language curricula, the project takes a key step in addressing challenges and creating learning opportunities for language learners and lecturers in Higher Education, opening the doors to further develop initial project languages, and extend to other languages.

On May 26th-27th, the digilanguages team will be at the EdTech conference in Dublin.  Next week, on June 3rd, the team we will be at the ICT Language Learning Fair.
