The Faculty of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences organised a workshop last week to assist  research postgraduate students with ITD & E-Learning related issues.

Robert Hutchinson (E-Learning) introduced his role within the faculty.  He discussed technology used in teaching and also various software packages students may require for their presentations at conferences.

Brendan Bolger (ITD) discussed how he can assist students during their time within the University with information on software packages and the technical support available to students relevant to their research needs.

A sharing of information followed the presentations on software packages that research students currently use and find helpful.  Emphasis was put on the importance for research students to backup their data.

The workshop was organised by Dr Niamh Lenahan, AHSS Graduate Research Centre and is one of a number of workshops provided to AHSS research students to assist them develop the skills and knowledge they require while undertaking their research at the University of Limerick.
